Charging time varies depending on the selected configuration.
Standard charge: With standard charge, whether at home or at a public station, Megane E-Tech electric charges up to 50 km of driving range in 1 hour, so you can fully charge your battery overnight (7 to 10 hours depending on the battery). This charging mode is also compatible with all public charging stations including DC fast charging points (mainly on motorways) to recover up to 200 km WLTP in ~30 minutes with a power peak of 85 kW.
Boost Charge: In addition to home charging, you can enjoy the full power of AC public charging stations up to 22 kW with this version (charges 3x faster than Super Charge). Also compatible with DC rapid chargers to recover up to 200 km WLTP in ~30 minutes with a power peak of 85 kW.
Super Charge: Ideal for home charging at 7 kW single-phase charging points, for a full charge overnight (9 hours). Also compatible with direct current (DC) fast chargers to recover up to 300 km WLTP in 30 minutes, with a maximum peak of 130 kW.
Optimum Charge: In addition to home charging, you can enjoy the full power of AC public charging stations up to 22 kW with this version (charges 3x faster than Super Charge). It’s also compatible with fast DC chargers to recover up to 300 km WLTP in 30 minutes, with a maximum peak of 130 kW.
The battery in Megane E-Tech electric has no “memory effect”. It features cutting-edge lithium-ion technology, the most advanced on the market, delivering optimised driving range.
This means you can charge as needed, even partially, without risk of diminishing performance.
To optimise your charging time, particularly at a quick charge station, we recommend charging your vehicle only when the battery has less than 20% driving range remaining.

Depending on your version of Megane E-Tech electric, quick charging is an option on the road and lets you charge up to 300 km WLTP in 30 minutes.
To take full advantage of quick charging, we recommend charging the battery only when your remaining driving range is less than 20%.

Megane E-Tech electric’s planner lets you condition the battery to make fast charging as efficient as possible. Available as standard on Evolution, Techno and Iconic.
CABLES AND CHARGING POINTS
The type of cable you should use depends on the Megane E-Tech electric version.
Your Megane E-Tech 3% electric is equipped with a mode 3 type 2 cable as standard. You can connect this cable to your home charging unit or to any public charging station (on AC, more than 90% of public stations in France).
If a charging point is unavailable or for occasional charging, get a Mode 2 “Flexicharger”* cable to charge your Megane E-Tech electric on a 3.7 kW Green’up reinforced socket. It takes between 20 and 30 hours to fully charge your vehicle using this cable.
All versions are equipped as standard with a DC fast charger (130 kW or DC 85 kW maximum power peak depending on versions), which is compatible with the high-power charging stations located on motorways. No need for an additional cable for this charging mode. The cables are directly attached to the charging station. Just like filling up at the pumps.

The charging cable provided with Megane E-Tech 5% electric is 5 metres long.
6.5-metre cables are also available and can be ordered from your dealership.
On Megane E-Tech electric, the charging flap is located at the front right of the vehicle.
Use a Mode 2 “Flexicharger”* cable to plug Megane E-Tech electric into a standard 2.3 kW domestic socket. This charging mode is suitable for occasional use only or when a specific charging point is unavailable. It takes between 20 and 30 hours to fully charge your vehicle.
For a faster, safer solution, have a 7 or 22 kW home charging unit installed!

Quick charging is available on all Megane E-Tech electric versions.
Super Charge and Optimum Charge versions on the 60 kWh battery are equipped with a quick charger (maximum power peak DC 130 kW) as standard. It is compatible with high-power charging stations located in motorway networks. No need for an additional cable for this charging mode: cables are directly attached to the charging station, just like the hose at the petrol station.
Standard Charge and Boost Charge versions with the 40 kWh battery are equipped with a DC fast charger providing a maximum power peak of 85 kW.

Nonetheless, weather conditions can impact the driving range. Calculate Megane E-Tech electric’s driving range based on your use and the weather conditions.
To optimise the battery life in cold temperatures, we recommend the “winter performance”* pack:
- boost your driving range by approximately 10% on the motorway in temperatures as low as -5°C, and enjoy faster charging;
- increase your driving range by approximately 20% for city driving in temperatures below -5°C. A true ally against cold weather, the smart energy recovery system captures the heat produced by the battery and powertrain and redirects it to heat the passenger compartment.
Megane E-Tech electric is perfectly suited to long journeys as it is fitted with a 60 kWh battery and has a charging power of up to 130 kWh. It has a driving range of up to 470 km WLTP in combined cycle and up to 300 km on the motorway.
The route planner for electric vehicles is the perfect assistant on long journeys. Activate it on your multimedia system to plan your route. Its predictive feature helps you adapt to your travel conditions in real time and guides you to available charging stations.
Electronic devices have minimal impact on the driving range of your Megane E-Tech electric.
To optimise your daily driving range, adopt the right habits for smooth, energy-efficient driving!
On the central screen of the electric Megane E-Tech, the journey planner predicts the range, based on weather conditions, road traffic and speed limits on the planned route.The dashboard, meanwhile, displays the autonomy based on the last kilometres driven.
If during your journey, your driving style and actual road conditions change, it is therefore possible that the range displayed on the dashboard may be different from that predicted by the planner on the central screen.
The cost of the battery is included in the purchase price of Megane E-Tech electric.
Once you own the vehicle, the battery certificate will become available on your My Renault account.
You can also view your battery status on your My Renault app.
Renault offers you an 8-year and 160,000-km warranty, at 70% of your battery’s initial performance level. Renault no longer offers battery rental. Vehicle leasing packages are, however, available with the battery included.

The journey is automatically updated according to your vehicle’s actual energy consumption. If you encounter an obstacle along the way, the route is automatically recalculated.

real-time planning
The route is constantly updated to optimise your journey and your charging points. If there is an obstacle along the way, a new, updated itinerary is suggested with new charging points. To estimate the driving range and arrival time as accurately as possible, different factors are processed in real time,including wind speed and battery temperature.
your habits and preferences taken into account
To further optimise your journeys, you can designate, for example, your home or place of work as charging places: the system will then know that you can go there without having to charge on the way. You can also select different types of charging and opt only for fast charging points, for example. You can also designate your preferred payment methods in advance.
proactive selection of the fastest charging points
With Google Maps, everything is optimised to simplify any kind of journey. During journeys, the system selects the fastest charging point(s) according to your preferences, with the option of changing them if it does not suit you. You can also change the order of the stops and replace some of them. The system then recalculates your route in real time.
Battery preconditioning
Battery preconditioning is a key factor to get the most efficient charge – it helps to optimise the battery by bringing it to the ideal temperature when approaching the charging point. This makes charging faster.
With Google Maps, preconditioning is automatically activated when you enter the journey into the app.

QRescue: a time-saving QR code
Working with the fire brigade to determine how to make their interventions easier, this QR code has been made a standard feature since 2022 on the Renault Megane E-Tech electric’s front and rear windscreens. It can be scanned to let emergency services gain quick access to the vehicle’s technical data, helping them save up to 15 minutes of intervention time.
fireman Access: for easier interventions
Even though the high-voltage batteries of Renault vehicles are designed to prevent fire outbreaks – during normal use and in the event of an accident – a fire started by external causes can spread to the battery. The Fireman Access can be used to extinguish it in a few minutes allowing firefighters to head straight to another call-out.
SD Switch
The SD Switch is a mechanical switch that disconnects the battery from the electrical circuitry. Although our high-voltage batteries are designed to switch to electrical safety mode in the event of an accident, we recommend that firefighters use the SD Switch in the event of a violent impact to guarantee absolute electrical safety.
