extended grip

Improve your wheel grip upon startup and up to 50 km/h on loose or slippery ground (snow, mud, sand, etc). The system calculates and accurately adjusts the power attributed from one wheel to another so the tyres can grip the ground.

active emergency braking system with pedestrian and cyclist detection

Detects pedestrians and cyclists coming from the front or side to avoid a collision. An alert activates in the event of an imminent potential collision. Braking is automatically reinforced if the driver’s reactions are too slow and will even brake completely if necessary.

lane departure warning

Avoid the risk of hitting an oncoming vehicle if you unintentionally cross a solid or broken line. With a surveillance camera attached to the windscreen behind the rearview mirror, the system warns you immediately by vibrating the steering wheel.

ABS anti-lock brake system

Lets you maintain directional control of the vehicle during sudden braking. Braking assistance prevents skidding by preventing the wheels from locking.

trailer assistance

This system helps you stay in control of the vehicle when towing a trailer. It detects movements and counterbalances the trailer when towing in certain driving conditions.

active emergency braking

Alerts and assists the driver to avoid any collision with a pedestrian, cyclist or vehicle in front. To avoid impact, the system intensifies the braking force if the driver’s reaction time is too slow.

blind spot warning

The system addresses the lack of visibility of the rear lateral areas. A light signal in the wing mirrors alerts the driver if a two-wheeler or a vehicle is present. If the sensor detects a cyclist in the blind spot on the passenger side, an audible and visual signal is also activated.

electronic stability control

Helps maintain your vehicle’s trajectory if one or more of the wheels lose grip, by combining anti-slip regulation (ASR), understeer control (CSV), extended grip and hill start assist.

park assist

front and rear park assist

Radars detect any obstacle in front or behind the vehicle and alerts you with audible and visual signals making it easier for you to manoeuvre.

Two electric motors located at the rear generate 280 kW, power equivalent to 380 hp. 700 Nm of torque is available upon acceleration and the 42 kWh batteries produce a series of drifts at full power.

Created for competition and more specifically for drifting, the R5 TURBO 3E E-Tech electric weighs 980 kg (excluding batteries) and inherits a bespoke designed tubular chassis. The flat floor accommodates the batteries; a very low centre of gravity contributes to better drifting.

Underbody, bumpers and all of the surfaces have been redesigned on this show-car. It gains 25 cm in width compared to the “Turbo 2”. Attractive details: pinky-violet tinted windows, red LED rims that light up during drifts and a luminous logo in the centre of the steering wheel.

How do you charge an electric vehicle?

Domestic and public charging stations use alternating current (AC), while fast-charging stations, often located on motorways, supply direct current (DC).

As the vehicle’s battery operates on direct current, the onboard charger converts alternating current into direct current when your car is plugged into a conventional terminal.

How do you charge an electric vehicle at home?

At home, simply install a reinforced socket or charging station to charge your vehicle using the Type 2 cable supplied. For occasional use, you can also charge from a household socket using the optional FlexCharger cable.

What type of electric current at home?

The home charging station must be either 7.4 kW AC single-phase or 11 kW AC 3-phase. Suitable cables are type 2 or Flexicharger, the latter being designed for reinforced household sockets.

How can you get a charging terminal installed in your home?

By consulting your Renault dealer, you can benefit from Mobilize Power Solutions’ expertise to choose the charging solution best suited to your needs and your vehicle. Your dealer will help you install and use the charging station. The terminal can be ordered at the same time as your electric vehicle.

The advanced driver-assistance systems use cutting-edge technologies (sensors, software, cameras, etc.) to make your drive easier and safer. They focus on three key areas:

  • Safety: road condition analysis, risk alerts, and intervention in case of danger.
  • Driving: assistance for a smoother, safer, more serene experience.
  • Parking: manoeuvring aids to protect the vehicle and its surroundings.

Renault continuously pushes the boundaries of innovation in safety:

  • by relying on a dedicated research and development lab for cutting-edge safety systems.
  • through a unique collaboration with the fire service. It has already filed over 2,000 patents for solutions like QRescue, Fireman Access and SD Switch.

automatic braking

Prevents the risk of multi-vehicle collisions by automatically activating the brakes after a collision. The system helps prevent or mitigate the severity of a secondary collision that may occur if you lose control of Renault 4.

Qrescue

In the event of an accident, QRescue saves the emergency services up to 15 minutes of response time. By simply scanning a QR code placed as standard on the front and rear windscreens of Renault 4, they can quickly access the vehicle’s technical information.

The safety score evaluates your driving with Renault 4 based on data (speed, trajectory, safety distances) collected during your journey. At the end of each trip, it presents a score ranging from 0 to 100 and offers personalised tips to make your driving safer.

Renault has been a key player in road safety for over 50 years. Continuously innovating and improving the passive safety of its models, the company remains committed to ensuring better protection for passengers in the event of a collision.

Fix4 Sure

A Renault solution that prevents occupants from slipping under their seatbelt in the event of a frontal collision (submarining). This is achieved through the low positioning of the seat belt buckles and a special seat frame design.

anti-deformation structure

The structure’s materials are designed to offer high energy absorption capacity, reducing the risk of severe structural deformation in the event of frontal, rear or side impact.

battery built into the structure

Renault 4’s battery is directly integrated into its structure. This design enhances protection in the event of a collision, while increasing the overall rigidity of the vehicle.
