With the 60 kWh battery, drive up to 470 km* WLTP in combined cycle and up to 300 km on the motorway with a full charge.

How can I optimise my battery’s driving range?

Megane E-Tech electric is equipped with a regenerative braking system. When the vehicle brakes or slows down, the energy output is recovered to power your electric battery and extend its driving range.
Plus, take advantage of connected services with the openR link system with Google built-in to optimise your driving range in real time and navigate safely.

What is Megane E-Tech electric’s driving range in cold weather conditions?

Like all batteries, electric vehicle batteries are sensitive to extreme temperature fluctuations.

The increased energy efficiency of Megane E-Tech electric offers optimal driving range in all use conditions, both in summer and in winter.
Nonetheless, weather conditions can impact the driving range. Calculate Megane E-Tech electric’s driving range based on your use and the weather conditions.
To optimise the battery life in cold temperatures, we recommend the “winter performance”* pack:

  • boost your driving range by approximately 10% on the motorway in temperatures as low as -5°C, and enjoy faster charging;
  • increase your driving range by approximately 20% for city driving in temperatures below -5°C. A true ally against cold weather, the smart energy recovery system captures the heat produced by the battery and powertrain and redirects it to heat the passenger compartment.

I drive long distances. Is Megane E-Tech electric right for me?

Megane E-Tech electric is perfectly suited to long journeys as it is fitted with a 60 kWh battery and has a charging power of up to 130 kWh. It has a driving range of up to 470 km WLTP in combined cycle and up to 300 km on the motorway.

The route planner for electric vehicles is the perfect assistant on long journeys. Activate it on your multimedia system to plan your route. Its predictive feature helps you adapt to your travel conditions in real time and guides you to available charging stations.

Does using on-board technology affect my driving range?

Electronic devices have minimal impact on the driving range of your Megane E-Tech electric.
To optimise your daily driving range, adopt the right habits for smooth, energy-efficient driving!

Why are my dashboard and central screen displaying different driving ranges?

On the central screen of the electric Megane E-Tech, the journey planner predicts the range, based on weather conditions, road traffic and speed limits on the planned route.The dashboard, meanwhile, displays the autonomy based on the last kilometres driven.

If during your journey, your driving style and actual road conditions change, it is therefore possible that the range displayed on the dashboard may be different from that predicted by the planner on the central screen.

Is the price of the battery included in the purchase price? Is it possible to rent the battery?

The cost of the battery is included in the purchase price of Megane E-Tech electric.
Once you own the vehicle, the battery certificate will become available on your My Renault account.
You can also view your battery status on your My Renault app.

Renault offers you an 8-year and 160,000-km warranty, at 70% of your battery’s initial performance level.   Renault no longer offers battery rental. Vehicle leasing packages are, however, available with the battery included.

A built-in feature of Google Maps¹ in your Megane E-Tech electric, it shows you routes with charging points on the way, as well as break times during your trip, which you can fine-tune as needed. The journey is automatically updated according to your vehicle’s actual energy consumption. If you encounter an obstacle along the way, the route is automatically recalculated.

The route is constantly updated to optimise your journey and your charging points. If there is an obstacle along the way, a new, updated itinerary is suggested with new charging points. To estimate the driving range and arrival time as accurately as possible, different factors are processed in real time,including wind speed and battery temperature.

To further optimise your journeys, you can designate, for example, your home or place of work as charging places: the system will then know that you can go there without having to charge on the way. You can also select different types of charging and opt only for fast charging points, for example. You can also designate your preferred payment methods in advance.

With Google Maps, everything is optimised to simplify any kind of journey. During journeys, the system selects the fastest charging point(s) according to your preferences, with the option of changing them if it does not suit you. Battery preconditioning is a key factor to get the most efficient charge – it helps to optimise the battery by bringing it to the ideal temperature when approaching the charging point. This makes charging faster.

No more problems caused by a passenger or boot luggage blocking your view. Your rearview mirror receives images sent directly by a camera located on the back window.

It helps you maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front as you drive. The system applies the brakes when the distance is too short and, conversely, applies the accelerator when the road is clear again.

Activated from 15 km/h, it uses light signals to warn you of vehicles that are outside your field of vision.

traffic-sign recognition

A camera detects speed limits throughout your journey and updates you via the dashboard.

It provides information on speed limits and warns you if you are speeding. It then automatically adjusts the cruise control to the legal speed.

occupant safe exit alert

When stopped and you or a passenger opens one of the doors, it warns of danger if another vehicle suddenly appears. A visual warning appears in the rearview mirror, and an alert sounds from the dashboard.

Megane E-Tech electric with active driver assist visualises traffic and displays it on your instrument panel so you can assess and better respond to your environment.

QRescue: a time-saving QR code

Working with the fire brigade to determine how to make their interventions easier, this QR code has been made a standard feature since 2022 on the Renault Megane E-Tech electric’s front and rear windscreens. It can be scanned to let emergency services gain quick access to the vehicle’s technical data, helping them save up to 15 minutes of intervention time.

fireman Access: for easier interventions

Even though the high-voltage batteries of Renault vehicles are designed to prevent fire outbreaks – during normal use and in the event of an accident – a fire started by external causes can spread to the battery. The Fireman Access can be used to extinguish it in a few minutes allowing firefighters to head straight to another call-out.

SD Switch

The SD Switch is a mechanical switch that disconnects the battery from the electrical circuitry. Although our high-voltage batteries are designed to switch to electrical safety mode in the event of an accident, we recommend that firefighters use the SD Switch in the event of a violent impact to guarantee absolute electrical safety.
