FAQ

how do you charge an electric vehicle?

With AC alternating or DC direct current. Conventional home and public charging points offer alternating current. Fast charging points that can be found on motorways offer direct current.
The battery works with DC current, so the vehicle’s charger converts AC to DC when your car is plugged into a conventional charging point.

how do you charge an electric vehicle at home?

At home, you just need to install a reinforced socket or a charging point to charge your vehicle with the type 2 cable supplied. Occasionally, you can also charge your car from a domestic socket with the Flexicharger cable available as an option.

What type of electric current at home?

The home charging point must be 7.4 kW AC single-phase or 11 kW AC three-phase. The suitable cables are called type 2 cables or Flexicharger cables (in the case of a reinforced domestic socket).

How can you get a charging terminal installed in your home?

Speak to your Renault dealership. You can order your charging point at the same time as your electric vehicle.

For the interior, zero leather and high-quality bio-sourced materials: fabric manufactured using recycled materials, console and dashboard made of recycled plastics and 50% of the boot’s materials made of recycled components. 3 range options for all uses

The 52 kWh comfort battery offers a WLTP² range of up to 430 km making it ideal for all types of trips. The 40 kWh batteries, with a WLTP range of up to 315 km³ and the 37 kWh¹ batteries, with a WLTP range of up to 305 km⁴ are perfectly suited for everyday use.

Specially adapted for the AmpR Small platform, the batteries are designed to be repairable and easy to recycle. Backed by Renault’s electrical expertise, they come with an 8-year or 160,000-km warranty.

safety: easier access

Various exclusive systems secure the batteries and make any necessary interventions easier. “Fireman Access” helps the emergency services put out a battery fire in just a few minutes. The SD Switch disconnects the battery from the high voltage network to ensure electrical safety for the fire service.

recyclability

At the end of the vehicle’s life, depending on its condition, the battery may be reused to store energy for other purposes or recycled. They benefit from Renault’s electrical expertise and are guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km*.
