FAQ
Domestic and public charging stations use alternating current (AC), while fast-charging stations, often located on motorways, supply direct current (DC). As the vehicle’s battery operates on direct current, the onboard charger converts alternating current into direct current when your car is plugged into a conventional terminal.
By consulting your Renault dealership, they will be able to advise you on home charging solution to suit your needs.
At home, simply install a reinforced socket or charging station to charge your vehicle using the Type 2 cable supplied. For occasional use, you can also charge from a domestic socket using the optional Flexicharger cable.
The home charging station must be either 7.4 kW AC single-phase or 11 kW AC 3-phase. Suitable cables are type 2 or Flexicharger, the latter being designed for reinforced household sockets.
