Active driver assist combines intelligent adaptive cruise control with the Stop & Go system and lane centering. It regulates the speed according to the road conditions*, maintains safe distances and ensures centering in the lane. In slow traffic, the vehicle stops and starts automatically.

Automatic switching between high and low beam. It is activated by a camera located at the top of the windscreen. The system automatically adjusts the shape of the light beam to the traffic and weather conditions to avoid glare and optimises night vision.

blind spot warning
Activated from 15 kph, it uses light signals to warn you of vehicles that are outside of your field of vision.
lane change warning
Based on information coming from the camera, the function warns the driver in case of crossing a line (continuous or broken) or approaching a roadside (median, barrier, pavement, embankment, etc.).
traffic sign recognition with speed alert
Using a camera positioned at the top of the windscreen, it informs you of speed limits via the openR screen and heads-up display and alerts you if you exceed the speed limit.

Your vehicle will automatically brake if there is an obstacle behind your vehicle when reversing.

Using the radar sensor, the system calculates the distance separating Renault Austral E-Tech full hybrid from the vehicle in front and alerts the driver if there is a risk of a front-end collision. The driver can then apply the brakes, but if the system still detects a risk of collision, the brake force is increased. If the driver fails to react, the system activates the brakes automatically.
active emergency braking system junction function
When you turn left, the system calculates the distance between the Renault Austral E-Tech full hybrid and the vehicle you are passing and alerts the driver if there is a risk of a head-on collision. The driver can then brake the vehicle, but if the system still detects a risk of collision, the braking force is increased. If the driver fails to react, the system activates the brakes automatically.

Your vehicle will automatically brake if there is an obstacle behind your vehicle when reversing.
rear cross traffic alert
Be alerted in case of an approaching obstacle from the rear corner.
lane departure warning
Using a camera fixed on the windscreen behind the rearview mirror, the system detects if a continuous or broken line is accidentally crossed and warns the driver.

Activated from 70 kph, the system counter steers to bring your vehicle back into its lane if it crosses a continuous or broken line without using the indicators.
