THE ADVANTAGES OF A 100% ELECTRIC RENAULT E-TECH ELECTRIC VEHICLE
economic
An electric vehicle is on average three times cheaper than a thermal vehicle to use.
With a less expensive fuel tank than thermal vehicles and the possibility of obtaining government aid, electric is the most economical choice for your daily life.
To travel 100 km, an electric motor consumes between 15 kWh and 20 kWh, or around €4 (with an average cost per kWh of €0.25 in Europe).
At an equivalent distance, a thermal vehicle will consume on average 6.5 liters, or an average cost of €12.5 for a fuel price of €1.9 per liter.
reduced maintenance cost
Oil filter, belts, spark plugs are not on the list of parts that make up an electric car. The engine is simpler and contains fewer parts.
Thus the maintenance of an electric vehicle is up to 30% cheaper than that of a thermal vehicle (over the first 3 years).
simplified resale
The electric car is a reliable vehicle whose battery is capable of operating for many years at high mileage. Our batteries are guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km. It is also a highly sought-after vehicle on the current market and one that is easily resold.
quiet and dynamic
Driving in an electric vehicle offers dynamic driving, without jerks or vibrations, without odor or engine noise.
on the road, without noise
The electric motor makes no noise. No noise disturbance in the passenger compartment, a calm driving experience which will allow you to enjoy your vehicle even more!
on the road, with dynamism
Electric vehicles offer you a more responsive start as well as more dynamic acceleration than thermal vehicles.
Sharp acceleration, without shifting, ensures smooth and pleasant driving.
ecological
With no CO 2 emissions during use and using renewable energies and recyclable batteries, the electric vehicle is a vehicle of the future.
consumption
When you slow down or stop, the electric vehicle does not consume any energy unlike a combustion engine which can consume up to 1L/h.
In addition, with an efficiency of around 90% and energy recovery during braking, the electric motor will be much more economical during the multiple stopping and restarting phases in the event of a traffic jam.
broadcasts
None. Zero emissions in use. No CO 2 or atmospheric pollutants* harmful to your health.
Your travel is authorized during pollution peaks thanks to the presence of a sticker reserved for electric vehicles.
*according to the WLTP approval cycle
renewable energy
The electric car can run on 100% renewable energy.
A green electricity supplier for your home terminals, a public terminal powered by renewable energy or energy produced by photovoltaic equipment, are all resolutely ecological ways to recharge your electric vehicle.
second life and recycling
The battery of an electric car has several lives. The second life of a battery begins on average after 10 to 15 years or when it falls below 70% charge capacity. Then it is used, for example, to store the energy produced by wind turbines. The last stage of a battery’s life is to be recycled. All these steps come from the Refactory project set up in the first factories dedicated to the circular economy (Flins in 2021 and Seville since 2023).
your questions about the advantages of electric
An undeniable difference in comfort.
More flexible, dynamic recovery, no odor, noise or vibration. An easy-to-use “automatic” gearbox for fewer movements while driving.
In a sense, more serene and easier driving.
Additional safety tip: no noise except below 30 km/h where the pedestrian warning system will emit a noise so that other road users are notified of your arrival.
The choice of an electric car will depend in particular:
- of the number of kilometers traveled daily.
- the most frequent driving environments (city, highway, etc.).
- the number of seats and interior space you need.
If you often drive on the highway, choose a vehicle with a high range, because speed will increase electricity consumption. Long range will be a less important criterion for a motorist making the majority of short journeys in an urban environment.
There are electric vehicles for all uses: personal and professional.
Power, comfort and space are there on our two flagship utility vehicles:
- Renault Master E-Tech 100% electric, the spacious and robust electric utility vehicle
- Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech 100% electric, great comfort for professionals
Yes and it’s not surprising.
Firstly for reasons specific to electricity:
- It is a more economical means of transport than thermal: fewer maintenance costs, “refueling” costs less, and parking in cities is increasingly free.
- Driving an electric vehicle is overall more pleasant: smoother, quieter and with more dynamic response.
- Charging stations are multiplying at high speed. The ability to recharge at any time is becoming easier and easier.
Also, for a financial reason: the resale of a thermal vehicle (according to certain criteria) with a view to acquiring a new or used electric vehicle allows you to benefit from a conversation bonus paid by the state.
