For some of us, it’s been a while since we did our highway code. We probably all need a refresher about some aspects of road safety. And then there are those completely new issues that pop up each year. Renault is constantly promoting activities that raise awareness of road safety amongst all drivers, whether they’re young or old, urban-dwellers or out-of-towners. These sites have got some great stuff in them too:
This road safety education site is for children aged between 7 and 11, their parents and teachers. ‘Safety Matters’ has been developed by Renault with practising teachers, the Department for Transport and the Local Authority Road Safety Officers’ Association. It can be used to support individual lessons on road safety or an entire road safety programme.
‘Safety for All’ was met with immediate success when it was launched in 2000. Devised over the long term, this international Renault programme targets three main age groups; primary school pupils, teenagers at high school and young drivers, and is aimed at educating them about road safety. Renault believes that social responsibility is necessary for the long-term success of all its business locations worldwide. Therefore, Renault produces a range of products that satisfy our need for mobility while preserving our quality of life and that of future generations.
